Bangladesh-China can be benefited from coordinating dev strategies: Jashim

Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Md Jashim Uddin today said that both China and Bangladesh can be benefited by coordinating the development strategies of both countries.
Jashim said this on Thursday when a delegation of FBCCI, led by him, met the Ambassador of China to Bangladesh Yao Wen at the Chinese Embassy in the capital.
Highlighting the rapid economic growth of Bangladesh in a short span of time and its development targets, he said high-level government officials and business delegations from China and the EU will take part in the upcoming Bangladesh Business Summit to be held on March 11-13, 2023 in Dhaka.
The event will be the right avenue to explore the areas where both countries can harmonize in terms of trade and investment for shared development, reports, BSS.
The mega event is being organized in partnership with the government of Bangladesh. The summit envisages becoming Bangladesh’s flagship Business promotion bi-annual event to highlight Bangladesh’s economic and market strengths, and concrete trade and investment opportunities by convening national and global business leaders, investors, policymakers, practitioners, policy and market analysts, academia and investors, he added.
Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen said this timely initiative of FBCCI would show the world the opportunities that Bangladesh offers for investment.
Wen suggested paying more attention, particularly to the green industries, ICT and food processing in the Summit.
