Theatrical release of ‘Mayar Jonjal’ in Bangladesh, India simultaneously on Feb 24

Bangladesh and India joint venture movie titled ‘Mayar Jonjal’ will
finally have its theatrical release
simultaneously in India and Bangladesh on February 24, said a press release.
Recently, trailer of the movie was released at Kolkata’s book fair and
soon the director released it on Facebook. Fans were left in awe of the superb performance by the stellar cast.
Produced by Josim Ahmed from Bangladesh and directed by Indian
filmmaker Indranil Roychowdhury, the movie marks the comeback of
popular actress Aupee Karim on the silver screen after 15 years.
The movie also features celebrated Indian actor Ritwick Chakraborty,
Sohel Mondal, Chandreyee Ghosh
and Bratya Basu.
The story of the movie is based on Manik Bandopadhyay’s two short stories, titled ‘Bishakto Prem’ and ‘Shubala.’
It is noted that ‘Mayar Jonjal’ first
premiered at the 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival. It was officially selected for screening at Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF).
