Husband sentenced to death for burning wife in Kishoreganj

A tribunal in Kishoreganj on Thursday noon has sentenced husband to death for burning his wife for dowry.
The Special judge (District Judge) Mohamad Habibullah of Women and Child Torture Prevention Tribunal-1 passed the verdict.
 During the announcement of the verdict, the only defendant in the case Mamun Mia (35), son of Moti Mia from Gaglail village under Danapatuli union of Kishoreganj Sadar, was absconding.
The special Public Prosecutor (PP) of Kishoreganj Advocate MA Afzal confirmed this information.
According to the Case Diary (CD), Mamun Mia had a love relationship with Nandini, daughter of Minar Alam Khan of Tarapasha in Kishoreganj town, Later they got married.
