3 men to die, one life term in Kishoreganj

A Kishoreganj Court on Tuesday has sentenced to 3 men to death and one to life term imprisonment for killing a former UP member in Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj.
 At the same time, the accused who was sentenced to life imprisonment was fined Tk 1 lakh.
The Additional District and Sessions Judge, Court -1 Jannatul Ferdous Ibn Haque announced this verdict.
Those sentenced to death are : Forkan Bhuiayan (50) son of Sindu Bhuiya , Shahed Bhuiyan (48) son of. Jomshed Bhuiyan and. Angu Bhuiayan (58) son of Dhulu Bhuiyan.
 The life term imprisonment Mustafa Bhuiyan (46) son of Jamshed Bhuiyan.
Additional Public Prosecutor in Kishoreganj Adv Jageshwar Roy confirmed this information and said, we are happy with the verdict of the case. Justice has been established through this judgment.
According to Case Dairy (CD) on August 29, 2013, former UP member Rafiqul Islam Bhuiyan ( Ratan Bhuiyan) was returning home after talking with his neighbor from the new market in Katiadi Town. At that time, as soon as the accused reached the dirt road on the north side of Forkan Bhuiyan’s house, Forkan Bhuiyan’s people blocked Ratan’s way with sticks, knives, chapatis, iron rods etc. Forkan Bhuiyan orders his men to kill Ratan. As soon as they received this order, they ambushed Ratan.
Victim’s UP Member Ratan Bhuiayan was injured in different parts of his body. Later, Ratan was rescued and first admitted to Zahirul Islam Medical College Hospital, when his condition deteriorated there, he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He died on September 5, six days after the attack while undergoing treatment there.
After the investigation, the then Sub Inspector (SI) Rakhal Debnath of Katiadi Police Station filed the charge sheet in the court on January 8, 2014. After a long hearing, the court ruled on this case on Tuesday.
