MUJ urges action against yaba traders

The Metropolitan Journalists Union (MUJ), Khulna, has urged the authorities to take immediate legal action against individuals allegedly involved in yaba trading and other antisocial activities while using their identities as journalists and organisational members as a cover.

In a statement, MUJ leaders said they had recently noticed that some individuals were allegedly using their identities as journalists and members of various organisations to engage in anti-social activities. They claimed that many of these individuals were not actually involved in journalism and were allegedly using the profession as a cover for unlawful activities.

The MUJ leaders called on the administration to identify such individuals, bring them to justice and ensure exemplary punishment if the allegations are proven.
