12 injured in clash over eve teasing

At least 12 people, including 2 policemen, were injured in a clash between two sides over eve-teasing of a school girls at Bhairabpur Uttarpara in Bhairab port Town of Kishoreganj on Monday.
 Many business -house and a residential building were vandalized in the clash. Police handled the situation by firing 53 rounds of rubber bullets and 5 rounds of tear gas shells. The injured two policemen are Sub -Inspector Shyamal Miah and ASI Ashraful Alam.
They received treatment from a local hospital. Others are admitted in various private hospital.
Police and locals said that on Monday afternoon, a student of a local high school was harassed by some youths.
At this time Bhairabpur Uttarpara Md. A young man named Muhin protested the incident. Suspected of being involved with the accused. He also beat up a young man named Ruzen. After a while, Ruzen’s men attacked Muhin. Based on this incident, both sides clashed on Bangabandhu Sarani Road.
 Additional SP (Crime and Ops) Mohammad Noore Alam, Bhairab UNO Sadiqur. Rahman. and ASP (Bhairab) Delwar Hossain to handle the situation. Came to the scene. Later, the police fired 53 rounds of rubber bullets and 5 tear shells to bring the situation under control.
When contact to Police Super (SP) in Kishoreganj Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PPM (Bar) told that, additional police are deployed at the scene. The situation is also under control.
