BD draw with India in SAFF U-20 Women’s Champ

Bangladesh Under-20 Women’s Football team played a goalless draw with India Under-20 Women’s Football team in their second match of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-20 Women’s Championship at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur on Sunday.
Bangladesh and India gained four points each from their respective two matches.
Bangladesh made an auspicious start in the SAFF Under-20 Women’s Championship defeating Nepal by 3-1 goals in their first match at the same venue on February 3.
India made a good start thrashing Bhutan by twelve goals to nil in their first match at the same venue on the same day.
It was a fifty-fifty affairs as Bangladesh and India produced almost same number of moves in the both halves.
Bangladesh got golden chances in 26th minute, 38th minute and 78th minutes. But the booters failed to convert those.
On the other hand, India got remarkable opportunities in the 7th, 14th and 62nd minutes. But the Indian footballers failed to find the net.
Meanwhile, Nepal Under-20 Women’s Football team blanked Bhutan Under-20 Women’s Football team by four goals to nil in the day’s other match at the same venue.
Amisha of Nepal scored a hat-trick, while her teammate Prity netted another.
Nepal collected three points from two matches, while Bhutan remained with naught playing as many matches.
Tomorrow Bangladesh will take on Bhutan at 7.00pm at the same venue, while India will face Nepal at 3.00pm at the same venue on the same day.
