Language Club, humanitarian aid gain popularity

The Language Club and humanitarian assistance programs of Bhangura Upazial have became popular in the area.
 It is reported that UNO Nahid Hasan Khan established a language club for practicing English within the Bhangura Officers Club on December 31, 2022. The purpose is that the children can speak English. Along with that, he has also started humanitarian aid activities.
Efforts are being made to increase the speaking power of the children in the Language Club. UNO Nahid himself takes classes here on Friday and Saturday every week.
As a result, at least one hundred students of various educational institutions of the upazila are regularly going to the Language Club, being interested in English practice. Along with UNO, an Associate Professor from a Government College named Bidyut Kumar Roy has been taking class in english with the students. The UNO also claimed that a lot of success has been achieved in a short period of time.
It can be seen on the surface, the children of the Language Club have already started conversation in English.
They are also giving speeches on various topics. Apart from this, the participants are practicing English conversation, debate, question and answer session, newspaper reading and translation skills among themselves. Apart from school-college students, men and women of different ages are also participated here.
Aparna and Diya Ghosh, students of Saratnagar Government Primary School, Apurva and Hiya Ghosh, students of Government Bhangura Union School and College, said that they have learned to speak English by participating in the English practice of the Language Club. Sometimes it becomes wrong but they are highly encouraged to practise English purely. The head teacher of this school, Habiba Khandkar Eva, said that many of her students are flocking to the language club on Fridays and Saturdays after getting the opportunity to practice English for free. Applauding this initiative of UNO, he added that the language club has now become very popular among students.
Students’ parents lecturers Afsana Aziz and Beauty Parveen said, “We are very happy with this great initiative of UNO”. They also said that as there is no tuition fees, boys and girls are spontaneously running to the language club.
