Sirajganj DC visits flood hit areas

Sirajganj Deputy Commissioner (DC) and District Magistrate Md. Aminul Islam, as part of his official visit, visited various offices along with distribution of cash and dry food among the families affected by the Jamuna collapse in Chouhali Upazila of Sirajganj.

On Thursday (July 30) morning, 1,26,000 taka, rice and dry food were distributed to the affected 26 families in Janata High School grounds of Chauhali upazila against 42 bundles of dhewtin at the rate of 3 thousand taka.

In addition, the District Commissioner distributed rice and dry food to 133 families at the rate of 30 kg per family, a total of 75,000 thousand taka at the rate of 5 thousand taka in cash to 15 more families affected by the river.

According to the scheduled partial schedule, the DC visited the office of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, distributed children’s sports equipment, planted trees, distributed educational materials and visited Pukuria Kodalia Government Primary School of Chauhali Upazila and took classes, also visited the Assistant Commissioner Land Office, Union Land Office and Chauhali Police Station.

Project Implementation Officer PIO Md. Hekmat Ali under the supervision of Upazila administration and Upazila Executive Officer UNO Md. Nurul Amin presided over the meeting as Chief Guest.

New Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mocha: Shahnaz Parveen, Chauhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Farid Uddin, former president of Upazila BNP Md. Zahid Mollah, current duty officer of statistics Md. Sohel Rana, Acting Chairman of Khashkaulia Union Parishad Md. Habibur Rahman Hablu, former principal of Chauhali Government College Shahabuddin were presentTechnical college principal Ahsan Habib Dulal along with officials of various departments.
