With RAB identity, attempts of abduction on Mahakhali Flyover: 3 held

Police arrested three individuals one of whom identified him as Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) member in connection with an abduction incident took place on Mahakhali Flyover on Friday night.
The arrestees were Md Mominul, his driver and one of his relatives, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Banani Police Station Nur-e-Azam Mia told the media on Saturday.
Police said a case was registered with the police station in connection with abducting two people on Mahakhali Flyover on Friday night.
“The plaintiff Shahidul Islam who was the victim of the attempted abduction filed the case. Mominul identified him as a RAB member. We are checking his identity,” the OC said. Police said that they would seek remand after producing them before the court.
Two people were heading towards Mahakhali by a private car from the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2am on Friday. When the car was in the middle of Mahakhali Flyover, another car intercepted it.
Four people inside the second car identified them as RAB members and handcuffed the two people of the first car.
When they bludgeoned the two people, they cried aloud. Hearing their screaming, the pedestrians rushed to the spot and detained the perpetrators. Later police reached the spot and arrested them.
