Journo Shahin nominated for global youth leadership award

Journalist Shahanuare Shaid Shahin has been nominated for “Global Youth Leadership Award 2023” by Global Youth Parliament, one of the largest youth organizations in the world, for his contribution to youth motivators, social movements, awareness and empowerment in agriculture.
The award will be given on the occasion of ‘Global Youth Summit-2023’ arranged by the international organization in Dubai on March 17-20 this year.
The award will be given in three categories– Global Youth Leadership Award 2023, Emerging Leader Award 2022 and Global Youth Entrepreneurship Award 2023 for outstanding contribution in youth leadership, peace, non-violence, innovation, social justice, empowerment, human rights, entrepreneurship, tourism, SDGs and Democracy.
Shahin, Senior Reporter of Daily Kaler Kantho, has been nominated for the award this year in recognition of his significant contribution to two fields- encouraging young people to donate blood voluntarily through Badhon, the second largest blood donor organization and working to create awareness and empowering women in agriculture through journalism.
He is also serving as the general secretary of Bangladesh Agricultural Journalists Forum (BAJF), which is playing an important role in determining policy in the agricultural sector.
He received the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) Award, one of the most prestigious fellowships in agriculture last year.
He joined the journalism profession in 2011 after completing his graduation and post-graduation from Jahangirnagar University’s Department of Economics. He has also completed his Masters in Entrepreneurship Economics from Dhaka University.
