Farhana Mili going to Kolkata to perform in Puber Nobonatya’

Among the stage dramas at this time, one of the popular and acclaimed plays is ‘Toposhi O Torongini’ directed by Liaquat Ali Lucky. This play, written by Buddhadeb Basu, is being staged again since last year. In the meantime, the artistes of this drama
went to USA, outside the country. There, the staging of the play was well received, especially actress Farhana Mili’s performance as ‘Torongini.’ Not only outside the country but also in the country, the
staging of this play is getting praise again and again. On January 13, on the birthday of Liaquat Ali Lucky, the play was staged again at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. The audience who came to the play that day praised the drama. That is why the name of the play that is discussed in theatres and theatre-lovers at this time is ‘Toposhi O Torongini.’ Popular actress Farhana Mili is repeatedly impressing the audience by playing the role of ‘Torongini’ in this drama. After a long time, Farhana Mili became
a regular on the stage after acting in this drama produced by the popular drama troupe, Loko Natyadal. From January 23 to 31, there will be a drama fair with dramas of Bangladesh organised by Kalyani Natya Charcha Kendra of Kolkata. This theatre festival has been named ‘Puber Nabonatya.’ On the opening day of the theatre festival, Mili starrer daram ‘Toposhi O Torongini’ will be staged at Taposh Sen Kumar Roy Natyabhaban, beside the Kolkata’s Central Park State Bank. To attend and also to perform in this festival, Farhana Mili is going to Kolkata on January 22, said the actress. While talking about to attend this theatre festival, actress Farhana Mili told this correspondent, “Honestly said I have become regular again in the theatre play with the inspiration getting by Liaquat Ali Lucky Sir. I am working regularly on
the stage again. It is true that this play, ‘Toposhi O Torongini,’ rekindled my love for the stage, I rediscovered myself. I also feel that the stage is actually my
personal favourite place. Kudos to Lucky sir for being such a busy man; despite his busy schedule, he
is dedicated to the team. It’s just that he takes his time. I respect this sir’s love for the team and its members. With Lucky Sir’s initiative, we are going to Kolkata with the play. I hope Kolkata visit will
become successful like previous USA visit.”
Farhana Mili also said that on January 20, she
will take part in the shooting of SI Sohel directed
a drama titled ‘Blood Connection.’
Besides Farhana Mili, the cast of the play ‘Toposhi O Torongini’ also includes Rubel Shankar, Swadhesh Ranjan Dasgupta, Abu Bakar Bokshi, Mashud Sumon, Masruba Juthi, Tusty, Ankita Bipul, among others.
