Football tournament inaugurated in Feni

The Football Tournament 2026 was inaugurated to commemorate July 36. Feni A.D.C (Revenue) AKM Faisal was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the tournament organised by the Manobik Feni Foundation at the Feni Government College Ground recently.

Feni District BNP Convener Sheikh Farid Bahar, convened by the main sponsor of the Manobik Feni Foundation, District Jubo Dal Convener Nasir Uddin Khandaker, presided over the inauguration.

Feni Government College Principal Professor Mohammad Enamul Haque Khandaker, Feni District BNP Member Secretary Alal Uddin Alal, Feni Acting Civil Surgeon Dr. A.S.M. Sohrab Al Hossain and Feni District Sports Association Member Secretary Saidur Rahman Jewel were the special guests.

Manobik Feni Foundation adviser Belal Hossain moderated the event, and Sadar Upazila BNP Joint Convener Tapan Chandra Kar, District BNP Member Kafil Uddin Mamun, District Jubo Dal joint convener Amjad Hossain Sumon, Member Al Imran, and other people from different walks of life and sports enthusiasts were present. After the game, the Feni Detective Police Officer-in-Charge presented the Man of the Match award.

At the opening ceremony, the speakers said that there is no alternative to sports practice to build a youth society free from drugs and juvenile gangs. Therefore, everyone should come forward to continue practicing sports. We have got a new Bangladesh through July 36, so they called on everyone to unite to move the country forward with this spirit.

It is worth mentioning that 16 teams participated in the July 36 Football Tournament organised by Manobik Feni Foundation. In the opening match, Shaheed Ishtiaq Ahmed Shrawan and Shaheed Ahad teams faced each other.
