Two fishermen’s dead body recovered

Floating dead bodies of 2 fishermen who were missing in the Bay of Bengal on Thursday (Jan.05) last when their fishing trawler anchored near at Kachikhali under the Eastern Division of Sundarbans (in Bagerhat district) sank in the Bay were recovered from the same (Bay of Bengal) on Tuesday (Jan.11), according to a delayed report received here. The recovered dead bodies of the fishermen were buried in their respective family graveyards on Wednesday morning. It is learnt from the fishermen that the dead body of missing fisherman Yusuf was recovered from the char area of village Padma on Wednesday morning by the locals. On the other hand, the dead body of other fisherman named Bayezid (30) was recovered from near Pakkhidiar Char (island) by his relatives with help of the coastguard deployed Kachikhali sanctuary forest on Tuesday evening and it was taken to his village home by the relatives.
It may be mentioned here that a fishing boat anchored near at Pakkhidiar Char (island) at the night of January 05 and, somehow, it sank in the Bay of Bengal. As a result, fisherman Yusuf (25), son of one Abdur Rahim of village Padma under Patharghata Upazila and Bayezid (30), son of one Md. Amin of the same village were missing in the Bay of Bengal. Being informed of the matter the members of the coastguard deployed Kachikhali started to search the Bay to rescue the missing fishermen.
