Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges minister Obaidul Quader on Thursday said that BNP will get befitting reply if it tries to create anarchies.
“An appropriate answer will be given to BNP to protect people’s lives and property once they try to create violence in the name of movement,” the Bridges Minister said while addressing the 30th conference of Road and Transport Engineers’ Association as the chief guest in Tejgaon in the capital.
He, however, welcomed the BNP’s peaceful programme for January 11, but warned not to try created anarchies.
Obaidul Quader described different success and achievements of the government in the past 14 years saying that smart road networks will make Bangladesh a smart country.
The Bridges Minister said that the regulations of the ‘Road Transport Act’ were published in a gazette for enforcement.
He urged the government employees to stop unnecessary foreign trips.
“Some officials go abroad on several excuses. Some of them are involved with money laundering. We hate them,” the minister said.
Syed Moinul Hasan, President of the association presided over the event. AL’s Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Engineer Abdus Sabur, Road and Transport Department Chief Engineer Md Ishak and the association’s General Secretary Engineer Amit Kumar Chakrabartya among others spoke at the event.
