Price of Soybean oil increased on the first day of the year

The price of loose soybean oil has been selling at Tk 180 per litter according to a report of Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) yesterday.
The same report disclosed that the price of bottled soybean, onion (both local and imported), local Turmeric, cumin, cinnamon, coriander and cassia leaf increased.
Apart from the fall in the prices of the coarse flour and flour on the first day of the year, the prices of farm eggs, local ginger, local garlic, potatoes, palm oil and rice also fell compared with the last week price.
After collecting the rates of daily commodities from several markets of Dhaka at Shahjahanpur , Malibagh ,Shyambazar ,Moulvibazar, Mohakhali , Rampura, Karwan Bazar,Mirpur -1, Azampur (Uttara),and Rahmatganj among others , TCB published the report on Sunday.
The price of loose coarse flour is decreased by four percent and sells up to Tk 62 per Kg.Likewise the price of loose flour reduced by 3.52 percent selling up to Tk 72 per kilo.The packaged flour price is Tk 78 to Tk 85 per Kg, report said.
The coarse rice price is 46 to 55 Tk per Kg which reduced by 2.97 percent compared with the previous week.The fine rice retail price also decreased by 2.21 percent selling at Tk 58 to 75 per Kg.
Palm oil price decreased by 2.53 percent and selling at Tk 130 to Tk 140 per liter.Price of potato also fall by 15.56 percent in last seven days.The price of egg is Tk 108 t0 Tk 114 per Dozen .
On the other hand, the price of cumin is raised by 50 to 70 Tk and sells up to Tk 570 per Kg . Retail rate of onion (local and imported) also increased by 10.67 percent.Local onion price is Tk 35 to Tk 48 and imported onion sells at TK 38 to Tk 45 per Kg.
According to the TCB data, the bottled soybean oil price increased by 3.29 pecent and retail selling price is Tk 187 to Tk 190 per litter which was sold in last week at Tk 178 to Tk 187 per litter.
