Two children drown after falling in canal

Two minor boys drowned in a canal at Dhanapatuli village in Kishoreganj sadar on Thursday evening at 5.10 pm.
They deceased are Ork (4) and Siam (5). , Ork’s mother Juena Begum was married to Mahfuz Mia, a businessman of Nyamatpur Bazaar in Karimganj. When Zuena Begum died three months ago, her two sons Mashroom (5) and Ork (4) moved to their grandmother’s house in Gaglail village. They used to study from here.
On the other hand, Siam’s father Masood Mia is the cousin of the deceased Zuena.
Mushroom, Orc and Siam used to play together,On Thursday afternoon, the three children went out for a walk without being seen by the grandmother.
At one point, Ork and Siam fell into the drain near Zainal’s new house on the south side of the village.
When the two children fell into the drain, Ork’s elder brother Mushroom ran and informed his grandmother that he had fallen into the water. The family went and found Siam floating in the water and rescued him.
In addition, at one stage of the search, the frozen body of the orc was recovered from under the water.
When they were quickly taken to Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital (SNIMCH) on duty doctors declared both dead.
