‘Skilled manpower crucial for more remittance inflow’

The International Migrants Day was observed in the country on Sunday in a befitting manner like elsewhere across the country.
The Employment and Manpower Office in Kishoreganj , Technical Training Center,. (TTC) including District Administration in Kishoreganj arranged a colour full rally , discussion, distribution crest among the skills people. marking the International Migrants Day Earlier, a rally with participation of government and NGO officials, returned expatriates, relatives of expatriates, overseas jobseekers, students,teachers and civil society members was brought out on the town streets.
 Deputy Commissioner( DC) in Kishoreganj Md.Abul kalam Azad attended as chief guest, while ADC(Edu.& ICT) Farzana Khanam presided over.
It was addressed among others by Assistant Director (AD) Employment and Manpower in Kishoreganj office, CAB district president Alam Sarowar Tito, DGM in Sonali Bank Jahangir Alam, SVP in Islami Bank limited Fazlul Karim, Executive Magistrate Nabila Ferdous, Senior Magistrate Md. Zobair and TTC principal Zabed Karim.
 DC Abul Kalam Azad said the present government has taken various pragmatic steps to enhance skills and expertise of overseas jobseekers by imparting training and ensuring their safer migration, welfare, rights, dignity, honour and justice both at home and abroad.
“Appropriate long-term strategies, plans and programs have been adopted to make the migration system easier and hassle-free using the latest information and communication technologies,” DC Md Abul Kalam Azad added.
 CAB district president and Senior Journalist Alam Sarowar Tito said that, some expatriate Bangladeshis shared their experience and suggested overseas job-seekers for becoming skilled workforce before going abroad to earn more wages and live with dignity.
