Bus kills Army member in Joypurhat

An Army sepoy was killed when a bus ran over him at Akkelpur in Joypurhat on Sunday (December 11) noon.
The deceased was identified as Nice Hassan, 30, son of Akkas Ali from Mohitur village of the upazila.
Akkelpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Bakar Siddique confirmed the matter.
He said, “The Army man Nice Hassan came home on leave on the occasion of his son’s Aqiqah.”
He further said, “A bus hit him when he was returning home by a motorcycle from market, leaving him dead on the spot in front of the upazila premises.”
Another eye witness Faruk Hossain said I was going to home by Van. When we reached Akkelpur upazila premises suddenly heard a sound and saw a bus running over the Nice. Gopinath Union Parishad (UP) member Babu Hossain said Nice was my relative. He became a father of baby boy few days ago. He came on vacation to celebrate his son’s Aqiqah.
