Mithila’s ‘Maya’ screened at 5th Telangana Film Festival

Popular actress Rafiath Rashid Mithila starrer movie titled ‘Maya’ screened at India’s Telangana Film Festival in Hyderabad. The fifth instalment of the
festival kicked off on December 9. ‘Maya’ was screened on December 10 where Mithila was also present.
The movie ‘Maya’ is a Bengali adaptation of William Shakespeare’s iconic play, ‘Macbeth.’ The movie has been directed by Raajhorshee De.
The plot of the movie depicts the story of a revolutionary woman who survives from the torturous discriminations by the patriarchal society. She also inspires others to fight back against oppressions.
Two posters of the movie have already been released which disclosed Mithila’s unique look and importance of the character. The movie will be released in the first quarter of 2023, said Mithila.
Apart from Mithila, the movie also stars Gaurav Chakrabarty, Rahul Banerjee, Tanusree Chakraborty, Kamaleswar Mukherjee, Gourab Chatterjee, Koneenica Banerjee, Ronita Das, Devlina Kumar and Sudiptaa Chakraborty, among others.
