India trounce Bangladesh in third ODI, but lose series

India took a sweet revenge defeating Bangladesh by 227 runs in the third One Day International (ODI) at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday.
Bangladesh clinched the three-match ODI series 2-1.
The score: India piled up 409 for 8 in 50 overs; Bangladesh scored 182 off 34 overs.
Bangladesh batters failed to chase a huge total of India.
Bangladesh had a good start with two openers Anamul Haque Bijoy and Litton Das contributed together 33 runs in the opening stand before Bijoy (8) was caught at the long-off by Mohammed Siraj off Axar Patel when Bangladesh’s score was 33.
Then, Bangladesh batters failed to make any notable partnership.
Shakib Al Hasan top-scored with 43. He hit four fours in his 50-ball innings.
Besides, Litton Das and Yasir Ali added 29 and 25 runs respectively to the Bangladesh total.
Shardul Thakur grabbed three wickets in the space of 30 runs, while Axar Patel and Umran Malik captured two wickets each instead of 22 and 43 runs respectively.
Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket each.
India had a shaky start as opener Shikhar Dhawan (3) was trapped leg before wicket by Mehidy Hasan Miraz when India’s score was just 15.
Opener Ishan Kishan and one-down Virat Kohli rescued their team from putting together 290 runs for the second wicket partnership before Kishan was caught at the long-off by Litton Das off Taskin Ahmed when India’s total was 305 for the loss of two wickets.
Kishan notched up a terrific 210. His 131-ball innings was ornamented with 10 sixes and 24 fours. It was Kishan’s maiden double century in ODI cricket. Kishan was adjudged the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
After Kishan’s dismissal, second-down Shreyas Iyer (3) was caught at the short cover by Litton Das off Ebadot Hossain when the touring side’s score was 320 for the loss of three wickets.
Virat Kohli was caught at the long-off by Miraz off Shakib Al Hasan when the visitors’ score was 344 for the loss of five wickets.
Kohli hit a marvelous 113. His 91-ball knock was laced with 11 fours and two sixes. It was Kohli’s 44th century in ODI cricket.
 After Kohli’s dismissal, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar added together 46 runs for the sixth wicket partnership before Patel (20) was cleanly bowled out by Taskin Ahmed when India’s score was 390 for the loss of six wickets.
Sundar made 37 from 27 balls hitting four fours and a sixer before he was bowled out by Shakib Al Hasan when the tourists’ total was 405 for the loss seven wickets.
Shakib Al Hasan, Ebadot Hossain, Taskin Ahmed bagged two wickets each conceding 68, 80 and 89 runs respectively.
Mustafizur Rahman and Miraz took one wicket each for 66 and 76 runs respectively.
