Founding anniv of Gouripur Reportes Club held

The 11th founding anniversary of Gouripur Reporters Club was observed through different programmes at its office on Thursday. Hasan Maruf, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Gouripur upazila inaugurated the programme by cutting a cake, opening the Gouripur Reporters Club Library and distributing sweetmeats among the guests and other prominent persons were present .
Marking the occasion, a discussion meeting was held with Gouripur Reporters Club President Mohammad Raihan Uddin Sarker (The New Nation Correspondent) in the chair. The discussion was addressed among others by Freedom Fighter Md. Abdur Rahim, former Commander of Muktijudda Sangsad Gouripur upazila unit, Bag Faruk Ahmed, President of Gouripur Sangbadik Okya Forum and former President of Gouripur Press Club, Abu Kawchar Chowdhury Ronti, General Secretary of Gouripur Press Club, Md. Abdul Gafur, Upazila General Secretary of Jatio Party, Editor Azam Zahir, Kobi Nurul Abedin and many others were present. Later UNO Hasan Maruf was honoured with a crest for his extraordinary contribution to drug eradication in this upazila on the occasion.
