Pro-BNP lawyers seek judicial probe

Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum (BJAF), a platform of the pro-BNP lawyers, on Thursday organized a rally in protest of police and ruling party men’s attack on the leaders and activists of the political opposition, killing of Swechchhasebak Dal leader Mokbul and mass arrest.
The rally started from the Supreme Court premises and ended in front of the Jatiya Press Club area. Barrister Kayser Kamal, Secretary General of the central committee of the Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum, led the rally in which hundreds of pro-BNP lawyers joined.
Barrister Badruddoza Badala and Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kazal, former Secretaries of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Advocate Abdul Jabbar Bhuiyan, President of the
 Supreme Court unit of the BJAF, and Advocate Gazi Kamrul Islam Sajal, Secretary of the SC unit of the BJAF, Advocate Mohammad Ali, among others, were present in the rally.
Barrister Kayser Kamal strongly condemned the police and ruling party men’s attack on the BNP leaders and activists at Naya Paltan in the capital on Wednesday. He urged to conduct a judicial probe into the police and ruling party men’s attack on the BNP leaders and activists and killing of Mokbul, and demanded unconditional release of the arrested party men.
