Inter-district thief gang arrested

Police of Barishal Airport police station have arrested Khalid Hasan Imon (34), leader and his associate Rubel Mridha(25), of the inter-district thief gang, on the basis of secret information on Tuesday.
A large amount of stolen goods and house breaking tools were recovered from them.
Barishal Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (North) Zakir Hossain Majumder informed this information in a press conference held at Airport Police Station on Tuesday.
The BMP official also said that the main leader of the inter-district thief-gang Khalid Hasan Imon and his associate Rubel Mridha were arrested from the house of Alamgir Hossain Abir, a resident of Maulana Bhasani Road, Sohrab Khan Housing, Ward No. 23 of Barishal city.
According to the information given by them, a huge amount of stolen goods including Tk 50 thousand, gold ornaments, 14 watches, 1 motorcycle, 8 mobile sets, 3 LED TVs were recovered from them.
He said the gang used to steal by cutting steal fences, windows in different areas of Barishal for a long time. They stole a huge amount of gold ornaments from 7/8 houses in the area.
