Fardin murder: Bushra lands in jail after remand
Court Correspondent :
A Dhaka Court yesterday sent Amatullah Bushra in the jail in a case lodged in connection with the murder of her friend and BUET student Fardin Noor Parash, 24.
Metropolitan Magistrate Ataullah of Dhaka CMM Court passed the order after police produced Bushra in the court at the end of her five-day remand in the case and Investigation Officer and Detective Branch (DB) Inspector Mojibur Rahman pleaded to keep her behind the bar till the end of probe.
Bushra’s lawyer however, argued for her bail. After hearing the submissions of both sides, the court sent her to the jail.
Police on November 10, arrested Bushra from her Rampura residence of the city and produced her in the court, pleading to place her on seven-day remand. Dhaka’s Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan had placed her on five-day remand on that day.
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Fardin went missing on November 5 and his body was found in the Shitalakshya River on November 7. His autopsy report suggested Fardin was murdered as there were injuries in his body.
