Brazilian forward Dorielton slammed brilliant double hat-tricks as powerhouse Bashundhara Kings thrashed Fakirerpool Young Men’s Club by 14-0 goals in their opening Group B of the Independence Cup Football match at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla on Monday.
Apart from Dorielton’s double hat-trick with six goals, his compatriot Robson also scored hat-trick with three goals while midfielder Biplu Ahmed, defender Tariq Kazi, Brazilian midfielder Miguel Fagueira, midfielder Masuk Mia Jonny and defender Yeasin Arafat supported them with a lone goal each for Kings in the one-sided affairs.
Dorielton scored his double hat-tricks in the 24th, 44th, 48th, 84th, 86th, and 90th minutes and Robson scored hat-trick in the 13rd, 24th and 62nd minutes while Biplu Ahmed, Tariq Kazi, Miguel Fagueira, Masuk Mia Jonny and Yeasin Arafat netted one goal each in the 6th, 10th, 21st, 67th and 68th minutes respectively for Kings.
Bashundhara Kings clearly dominated the entire proceeding and notched their deserving victory on the day while Fakirerpool Young Men’s Club were totally off-colored as they failed to create any real scoring chance in the proceeding.
Bashundhara Kings will play their next match against Azampur Football Club while Fakirerpool Young Men’s Club will play against Chittagong Abahani Limited. Both the matches will be held on Friday (Nov 18).
Tuesday’s matches: Abahani Limited Dhaka vs Uttara Football Club Limited at Bir Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj and Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra vs Bangladesh Air Force Football Team at Shaheed Dhirendranath Datta Stadium in Cumilla.
Both the matches kick off at 2.00pm.
Meanwhile, Chittagong Abahani Limited made a winning start in the Independence Cup Football beating Azampur Football Club Uttara by 2-1 goals in their first group B match held on Monday at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj.
In the day’s match, Ivorian midfielder Yacouba Bamba and Nigerian forward David Ifeagwu Ojukwu scored one goal each for Chittagong Abahani Limited who led the first half by 1-0 goal. Forward Naim Uddin netted the lone goal for the Azampur Football Club.
Yacouba Bamba gave Chittagong Abahani Limited a deserving lead in the 16th minute, but after the breather Azampur Football Club staged a brilliant fight back as Naim restored the parity in the 73rd minute of the match.
David however sealed the victory scoring the second goal for port city team in the 76th minute of the match.
Chittagong Abahani Limited dominated the proceeding and notched their deserving victory on the day while Azampur Football Club were off-colored except the day’s lone goal.
