No case filed yet over BUET student murder

Forty eight hours have passed since the body of Fardin Noor Parsh, a student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, was recovered, but the family has not filed a case yet.
According to Fardin’s family members, Fardin’s last location was at Rampura police station. A general diary was lodged with that police station.
However, his body was found in the Shitalakshya river of Siddhirganj Thana area of Narayanganj. A discussion is going on among the family members about with which police station to file a case.
 After being missing for three days, the naval police recovered Fardin’s body from Shitalakshya river in Narayanganj on Monday afternoon. He was a third year student of Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) Department of Civil Engineering; He was also the joint secretary of the university debating club. Fardin’s autopsy was conducted at Narayanganj General Hospital on Tuesday afternoon. Later, Sheikh Farhad, the hospital’s resident doctor, told the media that Fardin Noor Parsh was killed.
According to the family sources, Fardin left home on Friday to go to BUET campus. The next day (Saturday) he said that he would return home after the exam. But his mobile phone was found switched off after 11 pm on Friday. Police say Fardin was last seen in Rampura, his mobile phone then moved towards Sadarghat, last known location in Keraniganj;. And the body was recovered in Shitalakshya river near Varnali Textile Mills ghat in Godnail of Narayanganj. Narayanganj Sadar Naval Police OC Md. Moniruzzaman said, “The dead body was found in Shitalakshya river. That place is under Siddhirganj police station. Again his last location was Rampura Thana area. GD has also been registered there.
In this regard, Siddhirganj Police Station OC Moshiur Rahman told the New Nation that there is an opportunity to file a case with any police station, “Since the recovery of the body, we have been in contact with the family of the deceased. However, they have not come to the police station and did not give any statement till the Wenesday night. A case will be taken only if a statement is given.” OC said.
Rampura Police Station OC Kazi Rafiqul Islam said, “This police station was reported missing. We have investigated on the basis of GD. Later the body was recovered in Narayanganj.
