11 gamblers held in Thakurgaon

BSS, Thakurgaon :
Police, in separate drives, arrested 11 gamblers from different areas under Sadar upazila recently .The gamblers were sent to jail by court orders.
Being informed, police conducted a drive in Velajan area and detained six gamblers. Each of the detainees was awarded three day jail by the Executive Magistrate Abu Taher Md Samsuzzoha who was the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) also.
In another drive at Akhanagar, police nabbed five gamblers. They have been sentenced two-day jail for gambling.
