‘To win a match is important, rather than to be a hero’

Sports Reporter :
Vice-Captain of Bangladesh Cricket team Nurul Hasan Sohan said, ” To win a match is important for our country rather than to be a hero. I think we get an opportunity. We were far from just an over boundary. I thought I could do that and will tie the match. But it was bad luck that I couldn’t do that.”
Bangladesh needed 20 runs to win in the last over. Sohan tried to do that. He scored a four, a sixer and a single run. Bangladesh needed seven runs in the last ball. If Sohan could hit a over boundary in the last ball, the match will be ended in a tie. But Sohan could take a single run in that ball. Thus, Bangladesh tasted a narrow five-run defeat (According to Duckworth/ Lewis/ Stern Method).
India piled up a fighting total of 184 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.
In reply, Bangladesh scored 66 for the loss of none in seven overs before it started to rain. Later, the rain stopped and Bangladesh had a revised target to score 151 to win in 16 overs. Bangladesh scored 145 for the loss of six wickets in 16 overs.
After the rain, Bangladesh needed 85 runs to in 54 deliveries. But Bangladesh lost four wickets for nine runs . Thus, Bangladesh were under pressure and failed to reach the winning target.
He said, ” Everybody think calculative. But it is a tough task to perform well in the field, according to the calculation.”
India made a fighting total riding on Virat Kohli’s unbeaten half-century.
Sohan said, “Litton set a good stage for a win. We gave a close fight. But last overs’ tragedy made us difficult to win.”
