Discussion meeting held in Feni

A discussion meeting was held with civil society journalists, political leaders, minority communities, teachers, imams, lawyers, leaders of the Chamber of Commerce and others under the chairmanship of Pratyush Kumar Majumder, Police Super, Feni, held at Feni Police Lines Drillshed recently.

An anti-drug rally and gathering was held at the initiative of Feni District Police to express the determination to build a drug-free society and to make the young generation aware of the dangers of drugs.

Abdul Quddus Chowdhury, PPM, DIG, Chittagong Range, was present as the chief guest in the said meeting and rally.

Professor MA Khalek, Administrator, District Council, Feni was present as the special guest. Monira Haque, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate were also present as special representatives.

Important discussions were held in the meeting on the overall law and order situation of the district, public safety, social harmony, crime prevention, drug eradication and further strengthening of police-public cooperation.

The speakers in the meeting emphasized the joint role of the administration, police, public representatives, media, civil society and people from all walks of life in building a safe and peaceful Feni.

In his speech, the chief guest emphasised on maintaining the law and order situation, ensuring the safety of people’s lives and property, and making police services more people-friendly and effective through coordination with people from all classes and professions.

Representatives of civil society present in the meeting presented their opinions and suggestions on various issues related to the law and order situation and public safety in the district.

The opinions and suggestions of all concerned were seriously considered and the necessary steps were taken.

Senior officials of Feni District Police, representatives of various government and private departments, and dignitaries from different walks of life were present at the meeting and rally.
