The Women’s Football League will start from November 15 at the Bir Shreshtha Shahhed Spoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur. Women’s Wing of Bangladesh Football Federation will arrange the football meet for women with all sort of cooperation from Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). As BFF will busy for the international football competition, the Women’s Football League will be held in single league basis instead of double league.
After the meeting of Women’s Wing of Bangladesh Football Federation on Monday, Chairperson of the Women’s Wing of Bangladesh Football Federation Mahfuza Akter Kiron said to the journalists, ” We have to start our coaching camp for the women after ending of December. Next year our women’s team will take part in the four international football competitions. If we shall stage the Women’s Football League in double league basis, it will be a tough task for us to start our camp in due time. So, this year’s Women’s Football League will be held in single league basis.”
The players’ transfer window will start from October 15 and it will come to an end on November 10. The participating teams of the Women’s Football League are: Bashundhara Kings, Ataur Rahman Bhuiyan College Sporting Club, FC Brahmanbaria, Cumilla United Club, Kacharipara Ekadosh, Nasreen Sports Academy, Sadyapushkoroni Jubo Sporting Club, Barishal Football Academy, Dhaka Rangers Football Club, Farashganj Sporting Club, Siraj Smrity Sangsad and Uttara Football Club.
