Affordable housing facilities unavailable

Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) and National Housing Authority are responsible for the implementation of housing projects. Meanwhile, CDA has not implemented any new housing project in the last 15 years.
On the other hand, the National Housing Authority had implemented it 25 years ago. Due to non-implementation of new housing projects by the government, people are not getting affordable housing facilities. Privately developed housing flats have to spend extra money. Although during this period CDA has implemented projects worth thousands of crores of taka. Those concerned think that there is no alternative to residential areas to build a planned city. On the other hand, as a result of the unplanned implementation of the housing project, even after a long time, the population has not developed in the Karnaphuli and Ananya residential areas of CDA.
