4 arms traders held, 2 LGs recovered

Police rounded up four arms traders from Shah Amanat bridge area under Bakalia thana in city on thursday evening. After searching their bodies, two LGs were recovered from their possession. The names of the detained yet to be identified, police sources said.
265 doses of hem recovered, one held : City detective police rounded up one drug peddler named Jasimuddin(24) from west Jharna para of Double mooring thana in city on Thursday evening. The detained is the son of one late Aminullah alias Hashem. DB police sources said acting on secret information, police conducted raid in the area and recovered 265 doses of hem from his possession.

Farmer killed by wild elephants : A farmer was killed when a pack of wild elephants attacked on him in the hilly Keochiya village of Keochiya union under Satkania upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Mahabubul Alam Talukdar,45, son of late Abul Hossain, hailed from the same village.
Sub Inspector Abu Bakar Sifddique of Satkania thana said Mahabubul Alam died on the spot when a pack of wild elephants attacked him in the hilly Keochiya village around 8.30am, a sources of Chittagong district police super office said.
