Sattar returns to acting

Due to his paralysis and physical illness once popular film actor Sattar was absent from acting for last three years. Now he has returned to acting. Directed by Brishtimoy Agni he stood in front of camera for a special play titled Hasi Baba on Monday. GM Shaikat has written story of the play.
In the play, Sattar is acting in role of Mamun who a revolt person in a village. All on a sudden, he became paralysed. In fact, by his real life acting he has retuned to acting arena.
While talking about his returning to acting Sattar told this correspondent, “I am really grateful director Brishtimoy Agni and GM Shaikot that they have come forward during my tough time. I will never pay their contributions in my life.”
The play Hasi Baba will be telecast on ATN Bangla in January, said its director Brishtimoy Agni.
In 2012, Sattar became paralysed after facing a cardiac arrest. As a result, his left part of the body was fully paralysed. He couldn’t move in this regard. He has been passing very bad time to maintain his family members including wife now. He wants to get relief from this situation.
It may be mentioned that Sattar last acted in FI Manik’s a movie titled Chachchu Aamar Chachchu. He acted in role of little star Dighi’s father in the movie.
In his childhood, Sattar, hailed from Narayanganj, first acted as a child actor in Ibne Mizan’s directed two movies titled Aamir Sawdagar and Bhelua Sundori in 1968.
In 1984, under the talent hunt programme Notun Mukh-er Sondhan-e Sattar first acted against Farzana Bobi in Kazi Hayat’s a movie titled Pagli. Later he acted in more than 150 movies including Azizur Rahman’s Rongin Rupban, Arun Barun Kironmala and Kanchan Mala, Ibne Mizan’s Patal Bijoy, Chashi Nazrul Islam’s Shuvoda, Milon Chowdhury’s Rongin Shat Bhai Champa, etc.
As a hero, Sattar last acted in Milon Chowdhury’s Bhikharir Chheley. Completed master degree in Social Science from Dhaka University Sattar is also a freedom fighter. He has made a documentary against women and child violence, which is now in the Prime Minister’s Office. Though he is physically not well Sattar belives that he can acting well still now if he gets any better role, he said.
