Teacher killed as lorry ploughs thru’ coaching centre

UNB, Pabna :
A teacher was killed and five of his students were injured as an oil-laden lorry ploughed through a
coaching centre at Karamjatalat in Sathia upazila on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Nazrul Islam Saiful, 27, a BSC teacher of Dhopadah Dakhil Madrasah and son of
Maulana Golam Yeasin of Par Karamja village in the upazila.
Police said the tank-lorry crashed into the tin-shed coaching centre around 5:30pm while Saiful was teaching a group of students there.
The madrasah teacher died on the spot while five students received injuries. They were admitted to hospital.
Shahid Mahmud Khan, officer-in-charge of Sathia Police Station, said they seized the lorry but could not arrest its driver as he managed to flee.
