Fake ASP held in city

The members of law enforcing agencies arrested a fake Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in the city’s Banasree area on Saturday.
The arrested man has been identified as Quazi Masud alias Mohammad Rezaul Masud.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner (Media and Publication) Masudur Rahman said that a team of Khilgaon police rushed to the Banasree K-Block area and arrested Quazi Masud when he was demanding Tk 5 lakh from a person illegally.
The police official said that Masud confined the person in his house and
demanded the money. Police recovered police uniform, cap and fake identity card from his possession, he said.
A case has been filed with the police station in this connection.
