Australia and New Zealand are now Zero Covid countries. These two countries have been able to control the upsurge of the Covid-19 through genome sequencing. The recent Corona epidemic has shown the world as to why DNA research is so important and how it can work for the public interest.
Now many nations of the world have been using DNA and biotechnology technology to revolutionize the field of health and achieving success in the field of medicine. They are investing billions of dollars in the biotechnology sector. But in our country, there is no focus on it and has no visible effort in this regard.

West Bengal Elections

The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamota Banarjee demanded recounting of votes of Nandigram constituency, but the Returning Officer refused saying that vote counting was fair. The courageous decision of the Officer has proved that democracy is still alive in India. None can influence the Election Commission. It is still independent and can take its decision free of threat and pressure. Surely the Returning Officer has set up an example for all the government and the election officials around the world.
The election result is the victory of the Bengali nationalism against the terror politics. It is a victory of democracy, and defeat of religious fundamentalism. It is a victory of polls campaign by wheel chair against canvassing by helicopter and plane. BJP organized more than 200 meetings attended by the PM, Amit Shah and others in one month. But finally Mamota and her party TMC came out with flying colours.
