Cruelty Against Women
A woman was denied shelter in her father in law’s house in Gaibandha for delivering female child. This is punishable offence and implies upon the state to arrest the offenders for correction. When a woman conceives, she does not know what she has conceived-male or female? Allah knows it only. The Holy Quran, Sura Shura, Verse No. 49 says, “He grants whom He pleases daughter and grants whom He pleases son.”
We come to know from the aforesaid verse that Allah prefers daughter child to son. So, we must welcome every woman who delivers female child first. Otherwise that will be tantamount to declaring war against women. Again Allah said in Verse No. 50 of the same Sura, “He makes whom He pleases barren.”
As such, if a family has no child, wife alone cannot be held responsible. The responsibility may go to husband also. We request the government to make new laws with provision to punish them guilt of torturing women.
