Noakhali AL withdraws decision hours after relieving Quader Mirza

Noakhali district unit Awami League on Saturday had withdrawn the decision of reliving its executive member and Basurhat municipality mayor Abdul Quader Mirza from the party activities hours after reliving him.
The district unit AL president AHM Khairul Anam Chowdhury Selim said that the unit withdrew its previous order ‘to keep the situation peaceful.’
He also said that the issue was pending at the office of the party president and prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
In the previous decision, the district committee also recommended the party’s central committee to expel Mirza Quader from the party.
The decision had come hours after Quader Mirza announced a human chain programme scheduled for February 22.
He demanded action against Noakhali-4 lawmaker Mohammed Ekramul Karim Chowdhury, Feni-3 lawmaker Nizam Uddin Hazari and former Companyganj upazila chairman Mizanur Rahman Badal for their alleged involvement in attacking his supporters and activities on Friday.
