Expatriate’s wife found dead in Gazipur

Police on Saturday morning recovered the body of a woman from Choitarpara village under Kaliganj municipal area of Gazipur.
Four persons, including a son of the victim, were detained for interrogation.
Deceased Nazma Begum, was the wife of Saudi Arbia expatriate Abdul Momin.
The victim’s son Shawapon Mirza, 20, said he went to a waz mahfil in the area on Friday evening. After returning home around 9pm, he found the blood-stained body of her mother on the ground.
Hearing Shawapon’s cry, neighbours rushed in and took Nazma to Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors advised to take the victim to Dhaka immediately.
Later, Nazma succumbed to hr injuries on way to Dhaka.
After visiting the spot, Kaliganj POlice Station OC AKM Mizanul Haque said the body was sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College Hospital morgue.
Investigation officer Manzurul Islam said, “A serious injury mark was found on the head of Nazma. We are investigating the incident.”
