Bangladesh in semi-finals of Cava Men’s Volleyball Championship

The Bangladesh Volleyball team defeated Sri Lanka Volleyball team by 3-2 sets in the last match of the round robin stage of the Cava Men’s Volleyball Championship held in Islamabad, Pakistan on Monday.

With that, the red-and-green out-fit secured their tickets to the semi-finals by winning four out of five matches in the group stage.

The Bangladesh Volleyball team played against Uzbekistan in their first match in the group stage. Bangladesh won that match 3-2 sets.

Although they started with a win, Bangladesh tasted defeat in the second match. They lost to the hosts by Pakistan 3-0 sets.

However, Bangladesh Volleyball team played against Kazakhstan Volleyball team and Nepal Volleyball team in the next two matches respectively.

And they won in both matches. That is how they started dreaming of the semi-finals.

However, Bangladesh Volleyball team needed a win against Sri Lanka Volleyball team to make them to reach the top four. But they lost in the first two sets to Sri Lanka.

To win the match, the red-and-green representatives had to win each of the last three sets.

Bangladesh staged an incredible comeback in the match, winning the last three sets and reached the semi-finals.
