PSC issues circular for 35th Prel. BCS exam

Bangladesh Public Service Commission issued a circular for the 35th preliminary examination of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) on Tuesday.PSC member Mainuddin Khandakar confirmed it to The New Nation.He said that the circular had been issued for recruitment of employees and officials for 1803 vacant posts.The 35th BCS examination will be held under the new rules recently formulated by the public administration ministry. Under the new rules, the marks for multiple-choice questions (MCQ) in the BCS preliminary examination had been increased to 200 from 100 and the duration will be of two hours.The minimum pass mark for viva will be 50 percent instead of the existing 40 percent though the pass mark for the written test will remain the same at 50 percent. The rule reads that a candidate with less than 30 percent marks in the written examination instead of the existing 25 percent would be considered to have received no number.
