7 Gazipur factories fined Tk 1.24 cr

UNB, Gazipur :
The Department of Environment (DoE) on Sunday fined seven dyeing and garment factories Tk 1.24 crore for polluting the environment.
A DoE team, led by its Dhaka headquarters director (Monitoring & Enforcement) M Alamgir of inspected different factories on September 10.
During the visit, the DoE team found seven factories polluting the environment and asked them to appear before a hearing at the DoE head office in the capital yesterday.
After the hearing, the fine was slapped on the seven factories.
