In observance of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children Day, govt, non-govt bodies and the political parties, social organization chalked out separate programs in respective premises without any public assembly yesterday .Due to outbreak of Coronavirus across the world , the major programs in connection of the Mujib Borsha curtailed . City Mayor o f Chatogram AJM Nasiruddin placed wreath in the Bangabandhu’s portrait at Bangabandhu square in Anderkilla in the city.
The Mujib Borsha programmes of city corporation begins following the placing of wreaths last morning.
All installations of CCC, roads islands and CCC office have been eliminated to mark the anniversary. CCC also building largest portrait sculpture of Bangabandhu in Chattogram. After Mayor’s homage to Bangabandhu’s Portrait , CCC Karmacharil League, City corporation ward secretary Forum, CBA leaders, presented wreaths.Later city mayor participated the Khatme Quran and Doa Mahfil as arranged by CCC . City Mayor also cuts birth centenary cake after Doa Mahfil,CCC sources said.
Meanwhile Chattogram Metropolitan Police led by CMP commissioner MahbuburRahman placed wreath at Bangabandhu’s mural at Dampara police line in the morning. Divisional and district administration of Chatogram arranged discussion meeting on birth centenary of Bangabandhu following the placing the wreaths . Awami League and its front ogranisations also celebrated the centenary anniversary of Bangabandhu in city areas by the respective ward committee .Different upazilas of Chattogram also drawn up
Limited programs without any brisk programs and public assembly .In Raozan upazila, local legislaltor ABM FazleKarim chowdhury provided free transportation facilities for the people of Raozan upazila within the upazila areas and upto Chattogram city bus terminal .
