Deposition of 4 more witnesses recorded

Dhaka’s Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court yesterday (Thursday) recorded the depositions of four more witnesses in the sensational Police Officer and his wife murder case.
Later, Judge Md Jahurul Haque fixed September 15
to record the depositions of more witnesses in the case. So far 15 witnesses testified.
On August 18 last year, police recovered the decomposed bodies of SB Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Swapna Rahman from their Chamelibagh residence in the capital.
Later, their only daughter Oishee Rahman surrendered to the police confessing her involvement in the killing. Police also arrested her two friends Asaduzzaman Jony and Mizanur Rahman Rony and domestic help of the couples’ house Khadiza Akhter Sumi in connection with the murder.
On August 24 last year Oishee made confessional statement admitting her involvement in the murder.
Abul Khayer, Inspector of Dhaka Metropolitan DB Police, submitted the charge sheet against Oishee and two others in March this year. Later, on May 6, the court framed charges against the three accused.
