Sharing stage with Andrew Kishore was my achievement: Chhonda Islam

The news of serious illness of country’s play-back legend Andrew Kishore is giving pain to not only his family but also all fans of the singer. It is also giving pain to singer Chhonda Islam. Chhonda has been performing with the singer in different stage shows in and outside the country for last four years. According to Chhonda, she is a simple singer. She does not have ability to go to Singapore to meet Andrew Kishore now. However, she is trying to inform about the up-to-date physical information of the singer. She is praying heart and soul for recovery of the legendary singer. She requests all to come forward in this regard.
Chhonda Islam said, “My strong believe that Andrewda will recover soon. I will render song with Dada on the stage again. In fact, my father is not alive. After my father, I respect him a lot. For this reason, I always pray for him. I think sharing stage with him was my achievement in my music career.”
Chhonda is hailed from Satkhira. Besides Andrew Kishore, Chhonda shared the stage with Monir Khan, Badshah Bulbul, Shuvro Dev, Atik Hasan, Polash, Fakir Shahabuddin, among others in different times. Basically Chhonda is familiar as a stage performer. SK Shahidul Islam of Satkhira was mentor of Chhonda in her music career. She also learned music from Bashir Uddin for several days. But Chhonda said that her mother is her inspiration in music.
