Greater Mirpur Journalist’s Society formed

A 55-member convening committee of new welfare organisation for the journalists living in seven police stations-Greater Mirpur Journalists’ Society (GMJS) has been formed at a meeting on Saturday at a local hotel with Hemayet Hossain (The New Nation) and Yousuf Ahmed Tuhin ( The Weekly Notun Barta) as its Convenor and Member -Secretary respectively, says a press release.
Other newly-elected office-bearers are :Joint convenors -SM Saidul Islam(Banglatv), Rafiqul Alam (Somoyer Bangladesh), Mamun Abedin (Daily Bhorer Kagaj), Md Nur Hakim (Daily Sakaler Somoy), Sajada Haq (Channel21),Alam Sikder (The Asian Age), SM Babul Hossain (The Ganojagoron) and SM Zahirul Islam (Bangladesher Alo). Members of convening committee are : Layekuzzaman (Kaler Kantho), Bashir Ahmed (Daily Observer) , Shajeda Parvin Shaju (Gtv),Labonno Bhuiyan (Asian Tv), Md Mojahidul islam dheow (The Daily Ittefaq ), Fasih Uddin Mahtab (Samakal), KM Shahidul Haq (BSS), Azam Sarwar Chowdhury (BSS),Amoresh Roy (Samakal), Selina Sheuly (BSS) Monjurul Bari Noyon ( Dhaka Pritidin), rokshona Eva (ATNBangla ), ,Mainul Hossain Pinu (Mohona Tv),Khorshed Alam Babu (Jago Desh) , Shohrab Alam (Sangbad) Aminul Islam Shoel (Sharebiz), Md Afzal Hossain(Jugantor), Shahariar Al Mamun (Bangla Tv), Shahnaj Siddique Shoma (BSS), Jaheda Parvin Chanda ( Bangladesher Alo), Muhibillah Muhib (Banglavision), Hitler A Halim ( banglatribune), Mir Alauddin ( Daily Onno Diganto), Shoeb Zamam, (Tritio Matra), Nayeema Mou (DBC channel), Maria Salam (Kalerkantho), Asaduzzaman Shajb (businessnews24bd.com) and others .
This convening committee will for full-fledged committee within two months.
