Shanu, Runa first time together in faction play

National Film Award winner actress Runa Khan and actress-writer Shanarei Devi Shanu worked together in faction play titled ‘Rupar Angti,’ directed by Himel Ishaq, for the first time. Shooting of the play was done in different location in the capital’s Uttara area. Earlier they worked together in RTV’s drama serial ‘Alaspur.’
Basically story of ‘Rupar Angti’ is a Liberation War based play where Runa and Shanu acted in roles of two daughter-in-laws. While talking about acting in the play Runa Khan said, “Respected Syed Monjurul Islam wrote a real story for the play. For this reason, I showed my keen interest to work in the play. Story is related to emotional values. My co-actors in this play were really reputed specially I can tell the name of Shatabdi Wadud Bhai who is also my favourite actor. Dolly Apa also. Shanu acted with me in this play. Overall, it has become a nice work. I am optimistic about this play.”
Shanu shared her feelings by this way, “Though it was a Liberation War based story, so I had to work emotionally while acting. As daughter-in-law, I got Runa Khan as my co-actress in this play. I always enjoy working with her. Respected Dolly Zahur Apa, Shatabdi Wadud Bhai also acted in the play. Overall, it became a nice play. I am optimistic about this play.”
The play ‘Rupar Angti’ was telecasted on Bangladesh Television on Friday after 8:00pm news.
