3-day land service fair begins May 19 in Barishal Division

A three-day land service fair will be held from May 19 to 21 in six districts and 42 upazilas of Barishal Division, in line with similar events being organized across the country.

Officials announced that six service stalls would be set up in front of the record room opposite the Barishal Deputy Commissioner’s office to provide land-related services in six categories at the press conference, held at the Barishal Circuit House on Sunday.

Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Md Ahsan Habib said that all services, including online registration and online submission of land development tax, would be made easily accessible to citizens at the fair.

E-registration, online application uploads, and land tax payment facilities will remain available throughout the event.

He also said that quiz competitions involving school and college students, the receipt and resolution of land-related complaints, full-time presence of officials at service booths, and the distribution of awareness leaflets and booklets would be arranged during the fair.

The fair has been arranged to raise public awareness about technology-based digitised land services and to make the country’s land management system more people-friendly, transparent, and accessible.

In addition, services will be provided at the Land Service Support Center booth at prescribed government rates.

The information was shared at a press conference organised by the Divisional Commissioner’s Office under the supervision of the Ministry of Land on Sunday.
