Army man among 11 killed in road crashes
A private car plunged into a roadside ditch after breaking a railing of a bridge at Trishal in Mymensingh on Tuesday, leaving two people dead.

At least 11 persons including, an army man, cops were killed in separate road crashes across the country on Tuesday.
In Mymensingh, at least two persons, including an Assistant Sub-Inspector ASI of police, were killed when a Dhaka-bound private car fell into a pond in Raimoni area of Trishal upazila of the district on Monday midnight.
The deceased were identified as ASI Aminul Islam, 32 and his brother-in-law Jahidul Islam, 25.
Azizur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Trishal Police Station confirmed the news to the media that a Dhaka-bound private car from Mymensingh overturned and fell into the roadside pond early morning. Both died on the spot.
In Joypurhat, two persons, including mother and her minor daughter, were killed when a truck run over them at Jalatul Chakipara crossing of Sadar upazila in the district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Rifa, 24, wife of one Nur Alam and their daughter Anika, 5, from Deopara area of the upazila.
Shahriar Khan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Joypurhat Sadar Police Station told that the speedy truck rammed them while Rifa along with her daughter Anika were going to school at 9 am, leaving them dead on the spot.
In Feni, a motorcyclist named Emran Hossain, 35, was killed when a vehicle hit his motorcycle at 12:00 pm at Daganbhuiyan upazila.
The deceased Emran Hossain was son of one Tajul Islam of the upazila.
In Satkhira, an elderly man named Shafiqul Islam, 60, was killed when a Trolly run over him while he was returning home at Sakhipur Bazar crossing of Debhata upazila.
Biplob Kumar Saha, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Debhata Police Station, confirmed the matter.
In Bagerhat, a minor boy named Byjid Sheikh, 5, was killed in a road accident at Pinguria area of Kachua upazila.
The victim Byjid Sheikh, was son of one Badsha Sheikh of the area.
In Barishal, a former army person named Saidul Islam Swpan, 52, was killed in a tragic road crash on the Barishal-Banaripara Highway at Gabtala area.
Md Asad, Traffic Sergeant of Banaripara road, said that a Mahendra collided with a motorcycle coming from opposite direction on which Saidul was riding to go to Barishal at 9:00 am, leaving him dead on the spot.
In Bhola, a construction worker named Sumon, 25, was run over by a three-wheeler in Charfassion upazila on Monday night.
The deceased Sumon, was son of one Anwarul Islam.
In Gaibandha, an artist of Bangladesh Betar, Rangpur Zone named Khirul Islam, 55, was killed when a truck hit him in Polashbari upazila of the district.
